On a recent overseas assignment, photographer Stephen Karlisch found time to capture some personal images of the long, lazy days of Italian summer. "It's nearly impossible to shoot a bad photo over there—even in the midday sun,” says Karlisch, who travelled from Rome to the craggy beaches of Capri, sampling cafes and restaurants along the way.“

A complete visual chronicle of his Italian travels will be available as a book from the Renee Rhyner & Company Shop this Fall.
