Beth describes capturing the image Bottle Beach, "My husband and I like to go walking along the trails  and collect old bottles in Dead Horse Bay. There are a lot broken bottles in the area and if you search hard enough you can find really beautiful old glass bottles. This particular day we went because the fog was incredibly thick and dramatic. In order to get to Dead Horse Bay we have to go from Rockaway into Brooklyn over the Marine Park Bridge. One of the most dramatic elements was the Marine Park Bridge poking it's way through the fog. "

A transplanted Texan, now living in New York, Beth Perkins is a highly sought after photographer who is known for her compelling and intrinsically real environmental images. Beth’s portraits and location images have graced the pages of editorial publications and national advertising campaigns. In her limited free time, Beth works with at-risk children in her Rockaway Beach neighborhood, encouraging creative expression, and has sponsored photography classes and an exhibit featuring the children’s photography.
